Dinner Menu
Dinner starts at four and runs to half nine, or ten on Friday and Saturday. Entrees join everything that carried the afternoon.
Six sections, forty-one dishes. The Dinners section carries eleven entrees; around it sit small plates to share, soups and salads, thin-crust pizza, burgers and sandwiches, and sides.
Daily seasonal specials sit alongside the printed menu and change with what the farm has ready. They are not on this page for the good reason that they are not on the printed menu either — ask your server.

What time is dinner at Commissary?
Dinner is served from 4:00 PM. The kitchen closes at 9:30 PM Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.
Do I need a reservation for dinner?
Weeknights are usually walkable. Weekends, holidays and Pride weekend need a reservation — call 202-299-0018.
Does Commissary have vegetarian dinner entrees?
Yes. Vegan and vegetarian items are tagged throughout, and the kitchen accommodates dietary requirements with notice.
Is happy hour available during dinner?
Happy hour runs from 3 PM — until 6 in the dining room and on the patio, and until 7 at the bar — so the two overlap in the early evening.
Are there daily specials?
Yes, driven by seasonal produce from EatWell Natural Farm. Ask your server for the current list.
How much is dinner at Commissary?
Entrees generally run in the high teens to mid twenties, with burgers, sandwiches and pizza below that.
